Contacts
I read every message that comes in, and I try to reply to all of them. Whether it’s a question about your pet, a tip you think other readers should know, a correction, or a polite disagreement — please get in touch.
The fastest way to reach me is by email:
I usually reply within 2–3 business days. If your message is urgent and your pet is showing worrying symptoms, please call your veterinarian first — I am not a vet, and time matters.
What to include
- Reader questions: tell me your pet’s species, breed (if known), age, and what’s going on. The more context, the more useful my reply.
- Tips and story ideas: a sentence or two is plenty. If I’d like to dig in, I’ll ask.
- Corrections: please link to the article and quote the part that’s wrong. I’ll fix it and credit you (or keep you anonymous, your choice).
- Press, partnerships, and advertising: use the same email and put “Partnership” in the subject line.

Please don’t send food, medication, or live animals — we cannot accept any of those.
A note on what I can’t do
I’m a writer and pet owner, not a licensed veterinarian. I cannot diagnose your pet over email, prescribe medications, or tell you whether to euthanize a beloved animal. Those are conversations to have with a vet who can put hands on your pet. What I can do is help you understand what your vet is saying, prepare better questions for your next appointment, and make day-to-day decisions with a little more confidence.
